The World We Live In

It is so messed up how certain police officers don’t view blacks and hispanics as real or complete people. In their minds people are either “all good” or “all bad”. This defense mechanism is programed in them in order to determine the outcome of every situation. Police officer’s usually have to react fast and make split second decisions. Unfortunately for us some officer’s judgements are clouded by negative stereotypes. They are easy to spot. It’s usually the officer with a tendency to split is reflective of their own inability to view themselves as a person who has both good traits and bad traits. Meaning that they truly believe that they are here to do “good” but in reality they are a part of the problem. Believe it or not I too was on the receiving end of this unfair justice system. It was one of the worst parts in my life that I never liked talking about. I was almost stripped away of everything I’ve worked so hard for which, till this day, affects me. Change isn’t easy to accomplish….just ask any of your exs J It take time… Till then we will continue the fight and let our voices be heard.  #RIPRacism
